Oyo SDP Courts APC Gubernatorial Aspirant Sahe Oladel

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Oyo State is making moves to attract Sahe Oladel, a gubernatorial aspirant from the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the 2027 general elections. A meeting took place in Ibadan on Tuesday, which was attended by 26 local government chairmen and members of the party's state executive.

Notable attendees included Alhaji Ibrahim Durojaiye and the SDP state chairman, Hon. Michael Okunlola, who expressed confidence in Oladel's potential candidacy for governor.

Although details of the meeting were described as sketchy, it was reported that the SDP is finalizing the process for Oladel's defection to their party. This strategic move indicates the SDP's efforts to strengthen its position in the upcoming elections by securing influential candidates from rival parties.
