PDP Declares Strength Amid Akpabio's 'Dead' Claims

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) issued a statement on Wednesday, countering Senate President Godswill Akpabio's assertion that the party is "dead." PDP, represented by Haruna Mohammed, emphasized its vibrancy and ability to attract politicians across Nigeria. The party highlighted its 27-year history of resilience in overcoming political challenges and noted recent successes, including victories in the Adamawa State local government elections and the Rivers State Senate bye-election.

PDP also referenced the influx of political leaders from various states, including Katsina, Jigawa, Imo, and Oyo. The party dismissed Akpabio's comments as politically motivated and not reflective of the current reality, asserting that it remains a relevant political force capable of contesting future elections.

PDP reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive leadership and expressed confidence that Nigerians would once again entrust them with governance responsibilities.
