Peter Obi's Media Office Rejects Political Proxy Calls

The Peter Obi Media Office has dismissed calls from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s spokesperson for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), to respond to documents released by the Anambra State Government. In a statement signed by spokesman Idris Zekeri Jnr on September 16, the office described the call as laughable and insisted that Obi would not engage in exchanges with political surrogates.

It emphasized that Obi is focused on directly meeting Nigerians to seek their support for the 2027 general elections. The media office stated that Obi's campaign is centered on the concerns and aspirations of the people, asserting that the mandate he seeks belongs to the citizens and will be pursued directly, not through proxies.

The statement reiterated that Obi's priorities include addressing the hardships faced by Nigerians and understanding their challenges, while maintaining that he will continue to engage with them directly.
