Obi and Kwankwaso Meet Dickson Amid Leadership Crisis

On a recent date, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), met with the party’s national leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, at his residence in Abuja. This meeting was prompted by a leadership crisis within the OK Movement, which combines the Kwankwassiyya Movement and the Obidient Movement.

Concerns have arisen among supporters regarding the divisions within this coalition, which could impact the Obi-Kwankwaso presidential ticket as the 2027 general elections approach. Senator Dickson confirmed the meeting on his official Facebook page, stating that discussions focused on the party's progress and preparations for the upcoming electioneering campaigns, expected to commence later this month.

He urged all members, supporters, and stakeholders of the NDC to unite and work together for the success of the party's candidates, emphasizing the need to resolve internal disagreements to strengthen the campaign structure ahead of the elections.
