APC Mobilizes Support for 2027 Elections in Nigeria

As Nigeria approaches the 2027 elections, political activities are intensifying, with electioneering officially starting 150 days prior. The APC is concentrating on consolidating its influence, particularly in states lost during the 2023 elections, focusing on “delivery politics” that links federal projects to electoral support.

A task force has been established to manage defections and prevent internal crises. Recently, thousands of supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu gathered in Abuja under the Tinubu Mega Group (TMG), asserting that there is “no vacancy in Aso Rock.” The rally included participants from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, showcasing a diverse coalition of professionals, civil society organizations, and grassroots mobilizers.

TMG’s spokesperson, Tijani Ali Danjuma, highlighted the administration's efforts in infrastructure development, economic stabilization, and social intervention programs as key achievements. The APC is also engaging in reconciliation and membership drives to strengthen its grassroots support ahead of the elections.
