Imumolen Backs Tinubu for 2027 Presidential Elections

Prof. Christopher Imumolen, the presidential candidate for the Accord Party, announced his decision to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race to support President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at a press conference in Ikeja, Lagos, on Friday, Imumolen provided ten reasons for his decision, emphasizing his belief that President Tinubu genuinely aims to improve Nigeria. He stated that the policies introduced by Tinubu are designed to enhance the country's position, and he urged support for Tinubu's second term.

Imumolen clarified that his choice was not motivated by personal interests but by a commitment to Nigeria's unity, stability, and progress. He acknowledged that while some of Tinubu's policies may cause temporary hardship, he is confident in future improvements.

Imumolen's decision was supported by the leadership of the Accord Party, and he expressed that prioritizing national progress over personal ambition is crucial for Nigeria's future.
