Adeleke and Accord Party Endorse Tinubu for 2027

President Bola Tinubu has been officially adopted as the preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 election by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the national leadership of the Accord Party. This decision was made during a meeting held on Saturday night in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, which included top officials from the party, such as members of the National Working Committee and state chairmen.

According to a statement from Adeleke’s re-election campaign spokesman, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the discussions centered on the party's future, national development, and preparations for the upcoming Osun governorship election. Party leaders cited the need for continuity in ongoing federal infrastructure projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, as a reason for their support.

They also called for a peaceful electoral process, urging stakeholders to avoid actions that could undermine the election's credibility. The meeting was attended by several national officers, including National Chairman Maxwell Mgbudem and Deputy National Chairman Maryam Sale, among others.
