Abiodun Urges Unity Among APC Aspirants in Ogun State

During a strategic meeting in Abeokuta, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun called on aggrieved aspirants within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to prioritize unity and embrace consensus ahead of the upcoming elections. He urged aspirants to respect local government arrangements and engage in dialogue rather than divisive contests.

Abiodun noted that all party members are qualified to contest for candidacy and encouraged a fair assessment of aspirants to recommend suitable candidates. He pledged to refund nomination fees to those who do not secure party tickets, assuring them of future opportunities within the party.

Additionally, several aspirants have reportedly stepped down to align with party decisions, which Abiodun described as a move to retain experienced members. The meeting included notable party elders such as Kola Ogunjobi, Olu Agemo, Adekunle Adesina, Gbenga Kaka, and Iyabo Apampa, who commended the initiative as a pragmatic approach to managing internal competition and rewarding loyalty.
