Akindele Urges Unity Ahead of Ondo APC Primaries

In a statement issued in Akure on Monday, former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Jumoke Akindele, called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party prepares for its primaries. Akindele, who led the seventh and eighth assemblies, plans to meet with aggrieved contenders to foster mutual understanding and resolve disputes amicably.

She emphasized the importance of cooperation with the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to ensure that the primaries are conducted without division. Akindele highlighted the need for a merit-driven approach and urged party members to focus on collective success rather than individual ambitions.

She reminded members that the re-election of President Bola Tinubu is non-negotiable and that the party must remain united to achieve its goals. Akindele proposed a dialogue with disaffected aspirants to address their concerns and strengthen the party's strategy moving forward.
