Kingsley Challenges Duke's PRP Primary Victory in Nigeria

Yakubu Kingsley, a member of the YMK Nigeria Project Movement, has formally challenged the results of the People's Redemption Party (PRP) presidential primary election held on May 25, 2026, in which Donald Duke was declared the winner. Kingsley has submitted a petition calling for the disqualification of Duke, alleging that he is not a valid member of the PRP and did not meet the mandatory membership requirements stipulated by the party's constitution.

The petition, addressed to Dr. Hakeem Baba, the chairman of the PRP, claims that Duke unlawfully entered the primary election process and did not participate in the party's screening exercise.

Furthermore, Kingsley argues that the vote count credited to Duke was inflated, exceeding the number of eligible party members registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In response to these developments, Dr.

Maryam Abdullahi Ringim, the women's leader of the YMK Nigeria Project Movement, has urged supporters to remain united and focused on their vision for a better Nigeria.
