Ejiofor Urges Ndigbo to Reject 2027 Election Boycott

Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, a renowned human rights lawyer, has called on the Ndigbo to reject any calls for a boycott of the 2027 general elections.

In a press statement, he expressed concern over the emerging rhetoric that advocates for electoral boycotts, describing it as potentially harmful and capable of reopening historical wounds. Ejiofor emphasized that his stance is focused on preserving the interests of Ala-Igbo and protecting the lives and livelihoods of the Igbo people.

He condemned any directive promoting electoral boycotts, asserting that such actions could diminish the political voice of the community. Ejiofor urged the Ndigbo to pursue grievances through legitimate constitutional and democratic channels rather than through strategies that could lead to political irrelevance.

He stressed that the Igbo people have suffered enough and deserve a future free from destructive political experiments.
