Shettima Endorses Wadada for Nasarawa Governorship 2027

On Wednesday, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, publicly endorsed Senator Ahmadu Aliyu Wadada as the next governor of Nasarawa State for the 2027 elections. Shettima made this announcement during the Nasarawa Investment Summit held in Lafia, which focused on building a sustainable economic future beyond the 2027 elections.

He identified Senator Wadada, who currently represents the Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, as the preferred successor to the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Sule. Shettima praised Wadada's background as a technocrat with experience in the banking industry, asserting that he would continue the investment drive initiated by Sule's administration.

The Vice President assured investors of the stability of Nasarawa's economic trajectory and emphasized the importance of maintaining investor confidence during the political transition leading up to the 2027 elections.
