Shettima Endorses Wadada for Nasarawa Governorship

During the 2026 Nasarawa Investment Summit held in Lafia, Vice President Kashim Shettima openly endorsed Wadada as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Nasarawa governorship election. Shettima expressed optimism that Wadada would emerge as the next governor, thereby continuing the economic reforms initiated by the current governor, Abdullahi Sule.

The summit, themed "Bold Transition: Building a Legacy for a Sustainable Future," served as a platform for discussing the institutionalization of economic reforms beyond the 2027 elections. Shettima assured investors of the stability of Nasarawa's economic trajectory, regardless of the political transition.

He praised Wadada's acumen and ability as the current representative of Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the National Assembly. Shettima's comments were part of a broader commitment to maintain investor confidence and ensure that contract policies remain intact during the political transition.
