ADC Chieftain Alhaji Ahmad Mai Bulawus Joins APC

Alhaji Ahmad Mai Bulawus, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and businessman, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) along with his supporters. This announcement occurred on Thursday during a condolence visit by Governor Ahmed Aliyu to Mai Bulawus's family in Mana Karama, Sokoto South Local Government Area.

Mai Bulawus praised the governor for his humility, respect for elders, and achievements in the state, particularly noting the significance of the governor's visit to pay respects to his mother. Although he had previously declined the governor's request for support, he stated that his assessment of the administration's projects and the governor's conduct led to his decision to join the APC.

He declared his full support for Governor Aliyu and mentioned that his mother endorsed his decision. Ya’u Muhammad Danda, the Chairman of Sokoto South LGA, welcomed Mai Bulawus and his supporters into the APC, describing the defection as a sign of foresight and assuring them of equal treatment within the party.
