ADC Nominates Hon. Bello Isah Ambarura as Deputy Candidate

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the nomination of Hon. Bello Isah Ambarura as the deputy governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 Sokoto State elections.

This decision was made public through a statement issued on Monday by the party's Sokoto State Public Secretary, Hon. Lamir Aminu Ambarura.

He will run alongside the ADC governorship candidate, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan Iya.

The nomination follows extensive consultations within the party and is in accordance with Section 187(1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). The party emphasized its commitment to presenting a people-oriented ticket capable of providing effective leadership in Sokoto State.

Hon. Bello Isah Ambarura has a notable background in public administration, having risen through the ranks in the Sokoto State civil service to become a permanent secretary.

He was elected to the Sokoto State House of Assembly in 2019 and served as a major leader until 2023.
