ADC Names Abba John Abba as Deputy Candidate for 2027

On Thursday, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) officially unveiled Abba John Abba as its deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 Benue governorship election during a ceremony at Nam Hall & Resort in Makurdi. The event was attended by members of the ADC's National Working Committee, state executives, stakeholders, traditional leaders, supporters, and other dignitaries.

The Benue State Chairman of the ADC, Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu, praised Abba as an accomplished legal practitioner, administrator, and grassroots politician, noting that his nomination followed extensive consultations and a transparent selection process.

Okwu expressed confidence in the governorship ticket of Herman Iorwase Hembe and Abba John Abba, stating they possess the necessary competence, integrity, and vision for effective leadership in Benue State. In his acceptance speech, Abba expressed gratitude for the nomination, pledging loyalty to the party and the governorship candidate, and emphasized priorities such as security, healthcare, education, agriculture, youth empowerment, and transparent governance.

The unveiling completed the ADC's ticket for the upcoming election, with leaders optimistic about the Hembe-Abba team's potential.
