ADC Nominates Bello Ambarura as Deputy Gov Candidate

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) announced the nomination of Bello Ambarura as the deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 governorship elections in Sokoto State. This decision was made following extensive consultations within the party and is in accordance with Section 187(1) of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria.

Ambarura, who currently represents the Illela/Gwadabawa Federal Constituency, has a notable background in public service, having risen through the ranks in the Sokoto State civil service to become a permanent secretary. He served as a major leader in the Sokoto State House of Assembly from 2019 until 2023.

Lamir Aminu Ambarura, a party spokesperson, expressed confidence that Ambarura's experience in public administration and legislative service will strengthen the ADC's governorship ticket. The party has called on its members and residents of Sokoto State to support the ticket ahead of the upcoming elections.
