Sokoto NDC Affirms Dr. Haido as Gubernatorial Candidate

The Sokoto NDC has officially affirmed Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido as its gubernatorial candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections.

The affirmation was part of a primary exercise held in Sokoto, led by Bello Labaran Gwadabawa, the chairman of the party's primary election committee. The process involved an open affirmation where delegates raised their hands to show support for the candidates, resulting in unanimous backing for Dr.

Haido. He expressed gratitude towards party leaders and members for their support and emphasized the fair and transparent nature of the process.

Dr. Haido assured that he would not betray the trust placed in him and promised to work towards positive change in Sokoto State.

Bello Sani Yabo, the state chairman, encouraged residents, particularly the youth, to support the party ahead of the elections, noting that 70% of the party's structure consists of young people, which reflects a commitment to inclusivity and youth participation.
