ADC and NDC to Challenge APC in 2027 Elections

Yilwatda, alongside Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and chairman of the Progressives Governors' Forum, stated that the main competition for the 2027 presidential election in Nigeria will be between the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). During a press interaction in Abuja, Yilwatda expressed confidence in the ADC and NDC's capabilities, asserting that they do not pose a threat to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He highlighted that the APC currently has 31 governors and 400 legislators, in contrast to the 17 lawmakers who recently defected to the NDC. Uzodimma reinforced this sentiment, indicating that neither the ADC nor the NDC represents a significant challenge to the APC's re-election bid for President Bola Tinubu.
