Tinubu's Group Challenges Atiku to Address US Allegations

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement 2027, which supports the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has publicly challenged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to visit the United States. The challenge is to address controversies regarding his alleged connections to a corruption investigation involving former US Congressman William Jefferson.

The group, led by National Coordinator Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, emphasized that the allegations are not mere political claims but were raised during a federal investigation and court proceedings in the US. They highlighted an alleged $500,000 payment linked to Atiku during his tenure as vice president and questioned his involvement in financial dealings examined in a US Senate investigation.

The movement stated it would cover all travel expenses for Atiku and his aides if financial constraints were a reason for not accepting the challenge. They insisted that any politician aspiring for the presidency should be prepared to clarify controversial aspects of their public record.
