Tanko: Obi Movement Aims to Avoid Legal Battles in 2027

Tanko, a representative of the Obi Movement, expressed the group's intention to prevent any legal disputes related to the 2027 elections during an interview on Wednesday at Eagl 102.5 FM in Ilesa, Ogun State. He emphasized that the outcomes of elections should be determined at the polling unit level rather than through prolonged court battles, asserting that relying on court decisions undermines the credibility of the electoral process.

Additionally, Tanko addressed a recent press briefing in Abuja, where he stated that the Obi Movement does not recognize any parallel structures within its ranks. He responded to claims made by a group that alleged they had expelled Obi from the movement, categorically dismissing these claims and urging the media and the public to ignore the group, which he accused of attempting to create confusion.
