Imo APC Chairman Urges Unity for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election

Austin Onyedebelu, the Imo State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that the party must "fight like a wounded lion" to secure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential elections. This assertion was made during a stakeholders' meeting held at the party's secretariat in Owerri, attended by local government party executives and ward executives.

Onyebebelu stressed that unity among party members is crucial for electoral success and warned party officials to be accountable for their performance in areas where votes are lost. He urged them to focus on genuine grassroots mobilization rather than shortcuts, asserting that real votes are essential for victory.

He also cautioned against anti-party activities, reminding members that undermining their own party would not yield any benefits. Onyekachi Ibezim, the state vice chairman, assured the committee that the Owerri zone would deliver for the APC in the upcoming elections.
