Obi and Kwankwaso Discuss Kano's Economic Revival

On a recent Sunday, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, held a significant meeting with former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso at his residence along Miller Road. This closed-door meeting, which also included Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson, and political figure Naajatu Mohammed, sparked discussions about a potential alliance ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.

During the meeting, Obi expressed a strong desire to restore Kano's lost economic power, particularly in the industrial zones of Bompai and Sharada, which were once major manufacturing hubs in Northern Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of reviving Kano's economy during the Sallah celebration, highlighting the need for unity among political leaders.
