NDC Vows to Field Credible Candidates for 2027 Elections

The Nigerian Democrat Congress (NDC), under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Goddi Akpama, has announced its intention to field credible candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections. In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Calabar, Akpama highlighted the party's significant growth, particularly in the last 48 hours, and noted the influx of notable political figures such as Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso joining the party.

He described the NDC as a growing political force that aims to gain momentum and strengthen its structure to appeal nationally and at the state level. Akpama emphasized the party's commitment to providing credible leadership and building unity among its members to prevent internal crises.

He stated that the NDC is focused on consolidating its base to position itself as a viable alternative political platform, ensuring that elected positions are filled by capable candidates.
