Kwankwaso Promises Strong Partnership with Obi for 2027

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Deputy Governor of Kano State, assured Peter Obi, a presidential candidate, of a good working relationship as they approach the 2027 elections. During a prime-time television program, Kwankwaso expressed his enjoyment of a harmonious working relationship with Obi, highlighting their shared experiences in governance.

He noted that despite challenges, he successfully collaborated with various leaders during his tenure as Deputy Governor. Kwankwaso dismissed sentiments surrounding regional issues that could hinder their partnership, stating that he does not foresee conflicts between the Deputy Vice President and the President.

He referenced historical collaborations among past leaders, including Tafawa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello, to illustrate the potential for effective teamwork in the current political landscape.
