Wike-led PDP Declares No Support for Tinubu in 2027

The Nyesom Wike-led faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has firmly stated that it will not support President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. This declaration was made by the faction's spokesperson, Jungudo Moham, during an interview on Channel Television.

Moham emphasized that the PDP intends to field its own presidential candidate for the elections, dismissing rumors suggesting that the party might support the All Progressives Congress (APC) as unfounded propaganda aimed at discrediting the PDP. He urged Nigerians to give the party some time to conduct its primaries and reiterated that the PDP is committed to presenting a candidate that aligns with the interests of the Nigerian populace.
