Kwankwaso Explains Alliance with Peter Obi for 2027

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), revealed in an interview on Arise Television that he decided to form an alliance with Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, to foster collaboration between the North and South East regions of Nigeria. Kwankwaso referenced historical leaders such as Tafawa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello, indicating a desire to return to a political approach that emphasizes unity and cooperation.

He noted that the regions aim to work together, leveraging his experience as a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives. Kwankwaso expressed that the collaboration is essential for moving the country forward, highlighting that he recognized Peter Obi as a capable partner in this endeavor.
