Kwankwaso to Deputize Obi in 2027 Presidential Bid

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has confirmed that Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano, has agreed to take on the role of deputy to Peter Obi in a joint ticket for the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Habibu Mohammad, the spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, expressed confidence that this alliance will enhance the African Democratic Congress's (ADC) prospects in securing the presidential ticket.

The movement is actively working to ensure that no other aspirants can clinch the party's presidential nomination without proper consultation. Mohammad emphasized that Kwankwaso is committed to a political arrangement capable of challenging the current administration.

The coalition aims to resist undue influence in the party's primaries, alleging that certain aspirants are attempting to manipulate the process financially. The movement also called on Atiku Abubakar to play a unifying role within the opposition to strengthen their collective efforts.
