Felix Tangwami Declares for Adamawa Governorship Race

Felix Tangwami, the immediate past commissioner for health and human services, officially declared his intent to contest for the governorship seat of Adamawa State in 2027. He made this announcement during a press conference in Yola, representing the Progressive Congress (APC).

Tangwami expressed his desire to consolidate progress, strengthen unity, and build a prosperous future for the people of Adamawa State. He highlighted the need to address the anomalies caused by poor governance over the years and emphasized the importance of electing leaders who can unveil agendas focused on infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, commerce, industry, environmental issues, civil service reform, housing development, security, and peace.

Tangwami noted that Adamawa has witnessed significant progress in the last six years, particularly in infrastructure, human capital development, and rural-urban development. He aims to promote interfaith dialogue and mutual respect among the diverse tribes in the state, ensuring that leadership reflects the diversity of Adamawa.
