Adamawa Commissioners Resign to Pursue 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, during a state executive council meeting at the Government House in Yola, Adamawa State, two commissioners announced their resignations. Felix Tangwami, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, and Tijjani Maksha, the Commissioner for Livestock and Aquaculture Development, resigned with immediate effect.

The resignations were disclosed by the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Georg Farauta, and were confirmed by Mr. Jame Iliya, who informed the council of the strategic move.

Both commissioners are stepping down to enable them to seek electoral office in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This decision reflects their intention to transition from their current roles to pursue political ambitions.
