Omokri Defends Tinubu's Education Credentials on TV

Reno Omokri, ambassador-designate to Mexico, defended President Bola Tinubu on Channels Television regarding the lack of primary and secondary school certificates. Omokri stated that many Nigerians from Tinubu's generation were homeschooled, suggesting that this absence should not be a significant concern.

He challenged critics to provide evidence of their own primary school classmates. Omokri cited his own family's experience with homeschooling, mentioning that his child and his Ethiopian wife were also homeschooled.

He asserted that Tinubu is qualified to hold the presidency and seek re-election in 2027. Regarding Tinubu's tertiary education, Omokri pointed out that the registrar of Chicago State University confirmed in court that Tinubu was admitted, attended, and graduated from the institution, which he deemed sufficient evidence of Tinubu's qualifications.
