Omokri Defends Tinubu's Education Amid Certificate Questions

Reno Omokri, the Ambassador-designate to Mexico, defended President Bola Tinubu during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, addressing renewed inquiries about Tinubu's primary and secondary education certificates. Omokri argued that during Tinubu's schooling years, conventional education was not the norm for many Nigerians, with many being homeschooled instead.

He challenged critics to produce evidence of their own primary school classmates, suggesting that such records are often unavailable. Omokri cited his own family as an example of homeschooling and maintained that the absence of conventional educational certificates does not impact Tinubu's eligibility for the presidency or his aspirations for reelection in 2027.

He highlighted Tinubu's tertiary education at Chicago State University, where the registrar confirmed his admission, attendance, and graduation, asserting that this confirmation is sufficient to validate Tinubu's qualifications for his current role and future ambitions.
