Wike Predicts Kingibe Won't Win 2027 Senate Seat

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has publicly stated that Ireti Kingibe will not win a Senate seat in the 2027 elections. He attributed this assertion to Kingibe's failure to deliver projects during her time in office, which began in 2023.

Kingibe, who represents the FCT in the 10th Senate on a Labour Party platform, has faced accusations from Wike regarding her neglect of pressing issues in Abuja, including insecurity and water scarcity. During a media parliamentary session in Abuja, Wike emphasized that since Kingibe assumed office, there have been no visible projects to address these concerns.

He reiterated his stance from a year ago, asserting that Kingibe would not return to the Senate, and urged the public to acknowledge the truth about her performance, which he described as bitter.
