Yoruba Elders’ Council Backs Tinubu for 2027 Election

The Yoruba Elders’ Council has officially declared its support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 general elections. The announcement was made by the council's Secretary General, Dipo Oyewole, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The council praised Tinubu's administration for its commitment to economic reform and infrastructure development, which they believe are essential for stabilizing the nation. They assessed Tinubu's performance since he assumed office in May 2023, noting that despite the challenges faced, his policies are beginning to yield positive results.

The council emphasized the need for continued leadership in Nigeria's best interest and called for Nigerian citizens to support Tinubu's re-election to ensure the continuation of policies aimed at repositioning the country. They clarified that their endorsement is not based on ethnic considerations but rather a realistic appraisal of the administration's performance and prospects for achieving greater economic growth and political stability.
