YPP Names Zugwai-Chukwu as Presidential Candidate for 2027

The Young Progressives Party (YPP) has officially chosen Zugwai-Chukwu as its presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections. This decision was made during the party's national convention held on a Saturday in Abuja, where party leaders and delegates from across the country gathered to show their support.

Zugwai-Chukwu pledged to uphold transparency and accountability in leadership, calling on Nigerians, particularly the youth and women, to support his vision of justice, security, and prosperity. He promised to protect the party's ideals and work closely with stakeholders to ensure stability and growth.

YPP's national chairman, Bishop Amakiri, reaffirmed the party's commitment to its founding principles despite ongoing political realignments, asserting that YPP remains focused on producing credible candidates to win elections. Amakiri also addressed the impact of the death of former Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, stating that it would not diminish the party's strength or relevance in the upcoming general elections.
