Zamfara APC Denies Selecting Governorship Candidate for 2027 Elections

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims of choosing a governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections. The party's Public Secretary, Yusuf Idri, dismissed the reports as false, stating that the APC leadership in the state is not aware of any decision or agreement on a candidate.

Idri emphasized that the party is open to all aspirants interested in contesting and that the candidate will emerge through the party primaries. This denial comes amidst increasing political activities in Zamfara State as several individuals position themselves for elective offices.
