Anambra Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect Udochukwu Okafor

The Anambra State Police Command arrested a 26-year-old suspect, Udochukwu Okafor, also known as "Small-Moto," during a targeted operation in Ebenebe community, Awka North LGA, Anambra State. The operation, conducted by the Rapid Response Squad on Sunday morning, followed intelligence-led efforts to apprehend Okafor, who was on the Command's wanted list for alleged involvement in armed robbery, kidnapping, cult-related activities, and secessionist-related offences.

During preliminary interrogation, Okafor reportedly admitted to snatching a pump-action firearm from a vigilante operative and disclosed possession of a locally made shotgun used in his criminal activities. He also allegedly confessed to being a member of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, a group linked to cult-related violence in Awka and surrounding areas.

The police have intensified investigations to recover the firearms mentioned by Okafor and to apprehend other gang members who remain at large. He is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
