Kaduna Police Arrest 29 Suspects in Major Crime Raids

The Kaduna State Police Command reported the arrest of 29 suspects involved in various criminal activities, including kidnapping, homicide, car theft, and drug trafficking, over the last two weeks. Police Chief Muhammad Rabiu disclosed these arrests during a briefing, highlighting the command's recent achievements in crime fighting.

The operations resulted in the recovery of firearms, four stolen vehicles, and 2,700 sachets of tramadol, valued at N30 million. Notably, 12 suspects were arrested for kidnapping, 13 for culpable homicide, and four for car theft.

A manhunt led to the arrest of Bukar Bulama and others, recovering two AK-47 rifles and a pump-action gun. Additionally, Yahya Alhaji Yusuf was arrested for his involvement in banditry and cattle rustling.

The police also apprehended suspects linked to the murder of two individuals over witchcraft allegations in Kagarko Local Government Area. The operations reflect the command's commitment to enhancing security and addressing crime in the region.
