Farmers and Herders Clash in Niger, Three Injured

A clash occurred in Niger State between farming communities and a herders settlement, resulting in three injuries and damage to four motorcycles. The conflict arose from a farmland boundary dispute, with youths from Emitsowa, Emiyagi, Emiworo, Emisheshi, and Kakanpangi communities attacking the herders' settlement.

The injured individuals were identified as Tukur Liti, Ali Liti, and Alhaji Ibrahim. The Niger State Police Command's spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, reported that the youths were led by Moh’d Yamiyagi.

Following the incident, operatives from the Kataeregi Divisional Police Headquarters were dispatched to the scene, and the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. The police intervention helped restore normalcy in the area, and the incident is currently under investigation at the Kataeregi Division, with further updates promised.
