Violence Erupts in Kebbi During Eid Festivities, 3 Dead

During Eid festivities in Alwasa, Argungu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, three individuals lost their lives due to a misunderstanding involving local Fulani youth. The incident began when two Fulani youths performed stunts on motorcycles, which led to a confrontation.

A Fulani boy stabbed an innocent man, resulting in a retaliatory attack by local youths that left two Fulani youths dead. The chairman of the local government, Sani Aliyu Gulma, reported the incident to Governor Nasir Idris, who visited the area to offer condolences and discuss the situation with residents.

Gulma emphasized the need for law and order, stating that the community is known for its peace and love. The district head, Muhammad Mera, described the violence as unfortunate and expressed gratitude for the governor's concern.

Security operations were initiated to prevent further escalation and ensure safety in the community.
