30,000 Katsina Residents Benefit from Free Medical Outreach

The Dahiru Bara U Mangal Foundation conducted a free medical outreach program in Katsina State, benefiting no fewer than 30,000 vulnerable patients. The initiative, disclosed by Hussaini Kabir, a member of the foundation's board of trustees, commenced with a free hernia and hydrocele surgery program at the General Hospital in Katsina.

Approximately 700 vulnerable patients from within and outside Katsina State are expected to undergo these surgeries. The program is designed to enhance access to healthcare services for residents unable to afford treatment.

Patients diagnosed with hernia and hydrocele are currently being screened for surgery, while those with less severe medical conditions will receive appropriate medical care at no charge. The outreach also includes free eye surgeries and urological procedures, with 2,000 patients with various eye conditions currently being screened for treatment.

Dr. Saifullahi Bawal commended the initiative, emphasizing its valuable contribution to healthcare delivery in the state.
