Foundation Provides Free Surgeries and Eye Care in Katsina
The Foundation has launched a program offering free medical services to 2,700 indigent patients in Katsina, Nigeria, as part of its outreach initiative since 2018. Hussaini Kabir, a member of the Foundation's board of trustees, announced the commencement of free hernia and hydrocele surgeries at the General Hospital in Katsina.
The initiative aims to enhance access to quality healthcare for poor and vulnerable individuals who cannot afford treatment. Patients diagnosed with hernia and hydrocele will receive free surgical procedures, while those with less severe conditions will be treated appropriately at no cost.
The program is fully sponsored by Alhaji Dahiru Bara U Mangal. Additionally, the Foundation has commenced screening for 2,000 patients with various eye conditions at the Katsina Eye Centre, providing free prescription eyeglasses and scheduling free eye surgeries for those in need.
Beneficiaries, such as Malama Zulaihat Adamu Jibia, expressed gratitude for the life-changing interventions.
