APC Governors Meet in Lagos to Discuss Party Strategies

On the scheduled date, thirty-one governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) are set to hold a significant meeting in Lagos, hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island. This gathering comes at a pivotal time for the party, which currently controls 31 of Nigeria's 36 states, reflecting a strong presence bolstered by recent defections from opposition parties.

The meeting aims to align state-level policies with federal government initiatives, focusing on ongoing reforms and improving governance delivery. Additionally, the governors will discuss the economic situation in the country, particularly in light of recent fiscal and monetary adjustments.

The agenda includes sharing updates on state challenges and coordinating approaches to address security threats. The Progress Governors Forum, chaired by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, emphasizes unity and collaboration among states to support national development.

This meeting follows the forum's last gathering in Lagos in December 2025.
