CBN Senior Tennis Championship Kicks Off in Abuja

The 47th Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Tennis Championship began yesterday at the tennis complex of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. The tournament will culminate in a grand final on June 20.

It features exciting contests across men's and women's singles, doubles categories, and wheelchair events for both men and women. This championship has been a vital platform for talent discovery and development over nearly five decades, producing players who have represented Nigeria in prestigious international competitions, including the Davis Cup and the African Games.

The CBN Senior Tennis Championship continues to underscore the Central Bank of Nigeria's commitment to youth development and promoting tennis across Nigeria. Notable athletes participating include Sundai Maku, David Imonit, Veronica Oyibokia, Iwebema Christi Agugbom, Sarah Adegok, Sylvest Emmanuel, Joseph Imeh, Oyinlomo Quadri, and Marylov Edward.
