CBN Senior Tennis Championship Finals Set for Today

The 47th Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Tennis Championship finals are set to occur today at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. In the men's singles final, defending champion Michael Emmanuel, seeded third, will face Nigeria's current number one and tournament top seed Abua Cannic.

This marks Emmanuel's second consecutive appearance in the finals. In the women's singles final, fifth seed Etoro Bassey will compete against sixth seed Ogunjobi.

Bassey advanced by defeating Emmanuel Essien Bright with scores of 2-1 (6-0, 1-6, 6-4), while Ogunjobi triumphed over top seed Khadijat Pack, also with a score of 2-1 (6-4, 4-6, 6-1). In the men's singles semi-finals, Abua Cannic defeated eighth seed Yusuf Abubakar in straight sets (6-3, 6-4), and Michael Emmanuel overcame Jimoh Joseph with scores of 2-1 (6-2, 6-4, 6-1).
