Abua Khadijat Advances to CBN Tennis Quarter-Finals

At the 47th Central Bank of Nigeria Senior Tennis Championship, top seed Abua Khadijat advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating 11th seed Sani Musa with a score of 6-4, 6-3. Second seed Adeley Daniel also progressed, winning against Sani Inabo Yahaya with a score of 6-4, 6-1.

In the women's singles, Khadijat continued her impressive run, defeating Maxwell Timipr 6-1, 6-1. Sixth seed Ogunjobi successfully moved forward by defeating wildcard entrant Samuel 6-0, 6-3.

Udofia Mari joined Khadijat and Ogunjobi in the race for the quarter-finals with a convincing win over Bless Otu, finishing 6-1, 6-1. Second seed Emmanuel Essien also advanced with a straight-set victory.

The preliminary rounds will conclude on Wednesday ahead of the quarter-final fixtures scheduled for Thursday.
