O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation Aids 5,112 in Free Medical Mission

The O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation conducted its 45th free medical mission in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area from March 16 to March 20, 2026, providing medical care to 5,112 individuals.

The mission included 149 successful surgeries, such as hernia repairs, lipoma excisions, appendectomies, and hydrocelectomies. Dr.

Seiny O.B. Lulu-Briggs, the chairman of the foundation, emphasized the importance of tackling barriers to healthcare access, noting that many Nigerians avoid treatment due to high out-of-pocket costs.

The foundation has been providing care for two decades, focusing on vulnerable populations lacking access to functional healthcare systems. The outreach drew a large crowd and highlighted significant gaps in healthcare access.

A total of 77 medical and 32 non-medical volunteers, led by Dr. Famba Famba Daniel, delivered services including consultations, diagnostics, surgeries, and follow-up care.

The mission was formally inaugurated on March 18, and stakeholders commended the foundation's commitment to improving healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
