Six Dead in Lagos Boat Mishap: Search and Rescue Ongoing

A tragic boat mishap in Lagos resulted in the deaths of six individuals as a passenger boat collided with a submerged object. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, while the vessel was heading to Ilashe Beach House.

The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) confirmed the accident and reported that four passengers were rescued alive and receiving medical treatment.
