NASENI Hackathon: 60 Innovators Compete for Prizes

The NASENI Innovation Hub is hosting a five-day virtual hackathon from August 17 to 21, 2023, featuring 60 young innovators selected from thousands of entries. These innovators will develop solutions to specific challenges in their geopolitical zones, supported by technical facilitators and mentors.

Successful participants will advance to pitch sessions from August 24 to 26, where they will present their solutions to judges and industry leaders. Winners from each of the six zones will receive cash prizes of N1.5 million, N1 million, and N500,000 for first, second, and third places, respectively.

The top six winners will pitch at the NASENI Invention Fest for a chance to win a N5 million prize, an international study tour, and scholarships to two leading Nigerian universities. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of NASENI, stated that the program aims to transform outreach into practical solutions.

The initiative is designed as a long-term talent pipeline, with access to mentorship and training for winners.
