NASENI Empowers Osun Youths and Women with Skills

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) conducted a three-day training program from August 7 to 9, 2026, in Ile Ife, Osun State, empowering young people and women with advanced technical skills and equipment under its NASENI Sustainable Empowerment Programme (NSEP). The program focused on promoting self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.

Participants received training in Advanced Photography and Drone Operations, Advanced Shoemaking, CCTV and Inverter Installations, and Advanced Tailoring. Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, the Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, represented by Mr. Ahmed Olaoye Hamzat, emphasized that the initiative aimed to provide practical skills and tools rather than just certificates.

The equipment given to beneficiaries was intended as starter tools for establishing viable enterprises. Halilu urged participants to utilize their newly acquired skills to offer services, train others, create employment, and contribute to community development.
